ITINERARY

TANA -ANDASIBE -ANTSIRABE – TSIRIBIHINA RIVER – TSINGY DE BEMARAHA – MORONDAVA- ANTSIRABE -RANOMAFANA -RANOHIRA -TULEAR -IFATY

            Day 1: Tana – Andasibe
After breakfast in the hotel, we drive to the eastern part of Madagascar on the national road Rn2. At 72 km from the city, we will stop and visit the peyreras reserve which is a private park aimed to show the visitors the samples of Madagascar’s reptiles and amphibians from the biggest to smallest one. After that, we continue the road thave lunch in Moramanga. The end of the afternoon in Andasibe, we go out for the night Walk to look for the nocturnal lemurs and other night active animals.

            Day 2: Andasibe Park
After breakfast, we move to explore the tropical rainforest of Analamazaotra national park. During a tour of 2 to 5 hours, you will encounter the Indri Indri, the biggest existing lemur and other diurnal animals as well as many endemic plants and birds. The afternoon,we drive to the Vakona reserve to visit the lemur’s island where you will see much more diurnal lemur species such as black and white ruffed lemur, Brown lemur, bamboo lemur and so on. After this visit,we drive back to the hotel and relax.

           Day 3 : Andasibe- Antsirabe
After breakfast, we leave the village of Andasibe and drive back to Tana to take the national road RN7. Along the way, we will have a visit of an Aluminium foundery workshop in Ambatolampy and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the highlands. Arrival at Antsirabe at the end of the afternoon, we check in

          Day 4: Antsirabe – Miandrivazo
After breakfast, we will visit a handicraft workshop where you will attend the demonstration skills of the locals who are very passionate about their job. Here,you are already invited to get some souvenirs of Madagascar.
After the visit,we will drive westward to Miandrivazo and pass through villages and beautiful landscapes.

       Day 5: Tsiribihina River
After breakfast, we drive to the local village Masiakapy for the embarking. We start the descent of the Tsiribihina River and enjoy its beautiful landscapes. This journey will bring you into a peaceful environment and offer you a relaxing waterfall with a beautiful natural swimming pool at Nosiampela. At lunch time, the locals boatmen will share us delicious food of their specialities. Along the river, you will also spot wildlife such as herons, wild duck, chameleons, etc. The end of the afternoon, we set up our camp on the sand bank and enjoy the soft night under the stars.

           Day 6: Tsiribihina River
After breakfast, we will cruise following the flows of the river. This day, we will pass through local villages and see the people’s lifestyle. The midday,we stop for lunch and make a little break on the riverside. By the end of the afternoon, we will land and set camping on the sand bank nearby a local village.

            Day 7: Tsiribihina River – Tsingy
This is the last part of the river trip, we continue cruising slowly till a small village where we will land and saying goodbye to our traditional canoe crews for this fabulous trip. We will be transferred by zebu cart to get our 4WD car for the next off-road trip to Tsingy de Bemaraha national park. Arrival at Bekopaka village,we check in and relax.

           Day 8: Tsingy National park
After breakfast,we leave the hotel to reach the starting point of the Big Tsingy visit. We will hike through the national park and explore its treasure fauna and flora as well as its stunning landscapes from the top of the peaked limestone. After the visit,we go back to the hotel for lunch and a little break before the visit of the small tsingy and the amazing gorge of Manambolo river.

   Day 9: Tsingy – Kirindry Reserve – Morondava
Before noon, we will make a visit of the reserve Kirindry to spot wildlife of the dry decidous forest. We probably encounter lemurs and some reptiles during the walk. the reserve has famous Baobab male. After lunch ,you have time to relax a bit before driving to the famous Baobab in love, the sacred baobab and the baobabs avenue to admire the beautiful sunset ever with Baobab trees.

        Day 10: Morondava
This day, you will explore the surrounding beaches of Morondava. The morning, we will make a visit of mangrove forest and visit a small village of fishermen and encounter the locals main activities. The afternoon,you will take the time for relaxation

          Day 11: Morondava -Antsirabe
This day, we will drive back to Antsirabe. After breakfast we leave the hotel and taking our journey slowly.

          Day 12: Antsirabe – Ranomafana
Before driving to Ranomafana,we will have a visit of miniature and zebu horn crafts workshop where you will observe the work of passionate and talented locals. Then will take the RN7 and have lunch in Ambositra ,the town of woodcarving crafts which makes it very well known across the world. Upon the arrival at Ranomafana Village,we will meet our experienced local guide for the night Walk to spot the small mouse lemur,frogs and other reptiles.

          Day 13: Ranomafana national park
After breakfast,we will make a visit of this famous national park. As a tropical rainforest, spotting its unique wildlife is the emergence of all visitors here. With our experienced local guide,you will encounter as possible the target species of the park such as golden bamboo lemur, great bamboo lemur,etc as well as amphibians and reptiles.
After a nap in afternoon, you can walk in the village and go to the warm swimming pool for relaxation.

        Day 14: Ranomafana – Ambalavao -Ranohira
This day, we will take back the RN7 to Isalo. We stop in Ambalavao to visit the Anteimoro paper workshop then drive to Anja Reserve for a visit and lunch there. After that, we continue the road to Ranohira. Along the way, you pass through villages and other different landscapes.

         Day 15: Isalo national park
After breakfast, we drive to the starting point of the hike. Here,we are accompanied with an expert local guide who work passionately and give you all the details about this famous park. During the visit, you will discover its clean natural swimming pools that give you the opportunity to relax before continuing the hike. Around noon,we will arrive at the end of the circuit and encounter some groups of lemurs such as sifaka , ring tailed lemur and other reptiles. After a picnic lunch, we will drive back to the hotel and have a nap before driving to the famous window of Isalo for a stunning sunset.

          Day 16: Ranohira – Ifaty
We leave the village of Ranohira in the morning and continue our journey to southwestward. Along the way, you will find many different lifestyles of the local people such as sapphire searching which is very common in Ilakaka village. More to the south, we pass by decorative tombs of Mahafaly and Sakalava as well as wide pastures of cattles. The midday we will have lunch in Tuléar and then carry on the road to Ifaty.

         Day 17: Ifaty
This day ,you will visit the Reniala reserve ,as the name says the mother of forest (Reniala)so you will see baobabs in there as well as the turtle village. After that, you will be free to enjoy the beautiful weather and beaches of Ifaty.

        Day 18- Ifaty

This day we will embark on a local pirogue for an excursion  and enjoy the sea activities such as swimming, snorkeling, diving, etc. This stay will enable you to connect with the local people and their daily activities. Afternoon you will have free time to relax by your own.

Day 19: Ifaty – TANA
This day will be for the flight back to Tana depending on the departure time.
