Overview

This tour will connect you directly with the unique biodiversity of Madagascar. Along the RN2, you will visit the Peyrieras reserve to see the samples of the island reptiles and amphibians, the tropical rainforest of Andasibe to spot the Indri Indri which is the biggest lemur species of the island and other endemic animals and plants with orchids. Moreover,you will visit a lemur’s island in the Vakona reserve and join the peaceful place of the pangalane channel in Palmarium where you can encounter many other lemurs and the Aye- aye species . This tour will end in Tamatave, the capital of Betsimitatatra ethnic. It is still possible to continue to Sainte Marie depending on your preferencesI

TINERARY: TANA – ANDASIBE – ANKANIN’ NY NOFY (Palmarium Reserve) – TAMATAVE – TANA 7 days /6 nights 

TOUR DETAILS

Day 1: ARRIVAL AT IVATO AIRPORT – ANTANANARIVO(TANA)

TONGASOA/Welcome !! We pick you up from the airport to the hotel in the city center of Antananarivo. It depends on the arrival of your international flight but for day arrival, the traject will already give you a taste of the unique charm of Madagascar landscapes.

Day 2: TANA – ANDASIBE

After breakfast in the hotel, we drive to the eastern part of Madagascar on the national road Rn2. At 72 km from the city, we will stop and visit the Peyrieras reserve which is a private park aimed to show the visitors the samples of Madagascar’s reptiles and amphibians from the biggest to smallest one. After that, we continue on the road and have lunch in Moramanga. The end of the afternoon in Andasibe, we go out for the night Walk to look for the nocturnal lemurs and other night active animals.

Day 3: ANDASIBE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we move to explore the tropical rainforest of Analamazaotra national park. During a tour of 2 to 5 hours, you will encounter the Indri Indri, the biggest existing lemur and other diurnal animals as well as many endemic plants and birds. The afternoon,we drive to the Vakona reserve to visit the lemur’s island where you will see many more diurnal lemur species such as black and white ruffed lemur, Brown lemur, bamboo lemur and so on. After this visit,we drive back to the hotel and relax.

Day 4: ANDASIBE – ANKANIN’ NY NOFY

After breakfast, we carry on the trip to Manambato where we take a boat to Ankanin’ny nofy , the nest of dream and check in. The end of the day, we get ready for a night visit to the island of Aye-aye lemur, to discover this biggest and very rare nocturnal lemur of Madagascar .

Day 5: PALMARIUM RESERVE

In the morning, we visit the Palmarium reserve to meet more day active lemurs. A part from that, you will find the endemic carnivorous plants of the big island, frogs , geckos and chameleons. After the visit, you can enjoy the quietness and the beauty of this place and relax.

Day 6: PALMARIUM – TAMATAVE

This day, we will be transferred by motor boat to Tamatave following the gorgeous man made pangalane channel . The landscapes are awesome here with the scenes of the locals daily life . After lunch and check in, we make a tour through the main city of the east coast of Madagascar.

Day 7: TAMATAVE – TANA

After breakfast, we will drive back to Tana. Along the way, you will still admire much more of the green landscapes of eastern Madagascar.
