The west part of Madagascar will enable you to live in a real adventure, discovery and more stunning landscapes. From Tana till Miandrivazo you will start enjoying the scenery of the Highlands. After that, you will experience the Tsiribihina River trip for three days and two nights in camping while you will meet the extroverted local people who are very curious to share and exchange with you and reaching the famous national park of Tsingy de Bemaraha where you will make a visit and explore its beauty and wildlife. The last step, we will drive to Morondava and pass through the area of the spectacular baobabs of Madagascar such as baobabs avenue, baobab in love and etc.
Itinerary:
Tana – Antsirabe – Miandrivazo – Descent of Tsiribihina River – Tsingy de Bemaraha National park – Kirindry Reserve – Morondava – Flight to Tana
TOUR DETAILS
Day 1: Arrival at Ivato Airport – Antananarivo(Tana)
Tongasoa /welcome !! We pick you up from the airport to the hotel in the city center of Antananarivo. It depends on your arrival international flight but for day arrival, the traject will give you already a before taste of the unique charm of Madagascar’s landscapes

Day 2: Tana – Antsirabe
After breakfast, we leave the capital and take the national road RN7. Along the way, we will have a visit to an Aluminum foundry workshop in Ambatolampy and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the highlands. Arrival at Antsirabe, check in and experience the cycle rickshaw tour in the city.

Day 3: Antsirabe – Miandrivazo
After breakfast, we will visit a handicraft workshop where you will attend the demonstration skills of the locals who are very passionate about their job. Here,you are already invited to get some souvenirs of Madagascar.
After the visit,we will drive westward to Miandrivazo and pass through villages and beautiful landscapes.

Day 4: Tsiribihina River
After breakfast, we drive to the local village Masiakapy for the embarking. We start the descent of the Tsiribihina River and enjoy its beautiful landscapes. This journey will bring you into a peaceful environment and offer you a relaxing waterfall with a beautiful natural swimming pool at Nosiampela. At lunch time, the locals boatmen will share us delicious food of their specialities. Along the river, you will also spot wildlife such as herons, wild duck, chameleons, etc. The end of the afternoon, we set up our camp on the sand bank and enjoy the soft night under the stars.

Day 5: Tsiribihina River
After breakfast, we will cruise following the flows of the river. This day, we will pass through local villages and see the people’s lifestyle. The midday,we stop for lunch and make a little break on the riverside. By the end of the afternoon, we will land and set camping on the sand bank nearby a local village.

Day 6: Tsiribihina River – Tsingy
This is the last part of the river trip, we continue cruising slowly till a small village where we will land and saying goodbye to our traditional canoe crews for this fabulous trip. We will be transferred by zebu cart to get our 4WD car for the next off-road trip to Tsingy de Bemaraha national park. Arrival at Bekopaka village,we check in and relax.

Day 7: Tsingy National park
After breakfast,we leave the hotel to reach the starting point of the Big Tsingy visit. We will hike through the national park and explore its treasure fauna and flora as well as its stunning landscapes from the top of the peaked limestone. After the visit,we go back to the hotel for lunch and a little break before the visit of the small tsingy and the amazing gorge of Manambolo river.

Day 8: Tsingy – Kirindry Reserve
After breakfast,we drive back and have lunch in Belo Tsiribihina. Then we continue to the Kirindry Reserve, check in and relax until the end of the day for the nocturnal visit. This night Walk will give you the opportunity to encounter the smallest mouse lemurs and many other animals.

Day 9: Kirindry Reserve – Morondava
Before noon, we will make a visit to the reserve to spot wildlife of a dry deciduous forest. We probably encounter lemurs and some reptiles during the walk. The reserve also shelters the famous Baobab male. After lunch ,you have time to relax before driving to the famous Baobab in love and the baobabs avenue to admire a beautiful sunset.

Day 10: Morondava
This is the day to enjoy the surrounding areas of Morondava. We will take a pirogue and visit a mangrove forest,then we land in a fishermen’s village to meet them and see how they are getting their lives. The afternoon is a relaxing time.

Day 11: Flight to Tana
This day will be for the flight back to Antananarivo depending on our departure time.
